Helped Piper stop false use of its trademarks and goodwill by a former employee.
Ipsilium LLC v Cisco Systems, Inc.
Lead counsel to inventor/patent owner in case for infringement of techniques for low-latency packet processing.
Dr. Mark Barry v. Medtronic, Inc.
Obtained a jury verdict of willful infringement and damages of more than $25 million for the inventor and patent owner. A final determinations in the related Inter-Partes Review affirmed the validity of all claims.
In re Certain Wireless Headsets
Lead counsel for respondents Sennheiser electronics & Co. GmbH and Sennheiser USA in a patent infringement investigation involving Bluetooth headphones. Negotiated a favorable settlement before significant discovery or litigation activity.
Newport Corp. v. Lighthouse Photonics, Inc.
Lead counsel to defendant Lighthouse Photonics in patent infringement case brought by Newport subsidiary Spectra-Physics involving ultra-low noise green lasers.
Elan Microelectronics v. Apple Inc.
Lead counsel to plaintiff Elan in infringement actions concerning touchpads and touchscreens.
In re Certain High-Brightness Light Emitting Diodes
Trial counsel for respondents Epistar and United Epitaxy through final determination.
